💪 Introduction
Some days, your body wants a challenge. Other days, your body wants a kind conversation and a good stretch.
Thursday is for those days.
Pilates at the ECG is the gentler sibling of Quentin’s Wednesday session.
It’s calmer, more spacious, and easier to step into when you’re tired, rebuilding, or simply not in the mood for cardio.
This class leaves behind the Muscle Strengthening and focuses only on the “Pilates” side of things. So if you’re feeling low on energy, this class is for you:
If someone isn’t in great shape, is tired, I advise them to come on Thursday rather than Wednesday.

So if you’ve been thinking “I want to move… but I don’t want to be destroyed,” welcome. This is your class.
Why our ALGSO Pilates at the ECG Class is Perfect for Cancer Warriors:
When you’ve been through cancer (or you’re in it), movement can come with extra layers: fatigue, fear of pain, confidence dips, and that classic “Will I be able to do it?” loop.
And we all know just how tricky fatigue can be. It tells you to stay home, stay still, and wait until you feel “better”… but sometimes that “better” doesn’t arrive on its own.
Quentin’s view is honest and very practical:
Fatigue is a vicious circle. If you do nothing, you go towards nothing.

That’s why this class is built to be doable.
Not scary, not overwhelming, and not “all or nothing”.
The goal is to keep you gently in motion, on your terms.
Pilates at the ECG is built around one reassuring principle: you’re allowed to start from where you are.
This is also a class where you don’t have to “prove” anything. Quentin is very clear that people should do what works for them, even if that means coming mainly for the atmosphere.
So yes: you’re allowed to arrive tired. You’re allowed to arrive nervous. You’re allowed to arrive with a brain that’s doing 17 anxious tabs at once. This is a place where you can slow down without disappearing.
What is it?
Quentin describes his Pilates at the ECG class as a “warm-up and then stretching”.
It’s not about “fancy exercises” or perfect form. It’s about:
Quentin keeps it straightforward.
That simplicity is a feature, not a limitation. It makes the class approachable, repeatable, and friendly for mixed levels.
Why it helps (body + mind)
This class supports the things that often get harder during or after treatment: comfort in your body, mobility, confidence, and feeling like you’ve got some control again.
Physically, this gentle class can help you:
- feel less stiff
- improve mobility and posture awareness
- reconnect with muscles safely (without pushing through pain)
- move with more ease in everyday tasks
Mentally, it’s a reset.
Quentin doesn’t separate the two. He sees movement and mood as connected. His one-liner says it all:
When the body is stimulated, the mind is too.

You’re not just stretching. You’re giving your nervous system a calmer baseline, and giving yourself a weekly “I did something for me” win.
What makes this class special?
This isn’t “we do nothing and call it wellness.” It’s a structured class with intention that’s delivered in a way that respects fatigue, healing, and varied bodies.
You don’t have to be “sporty”. You don’t have to be a “Pilates pro”. You don’t have to be flexible. You don’t have to be confident. You just have to arrive. Quentin’s mindset is practical and permission-based: do what you can, adjust what you need, and let that be enough.
Quentin is very open: he talks (a lot), he jokes, he creates a class atmosphere that feels like a small community rather than a silent room of people trying not to breathe too loudly. The tone is light, but he keeps things gentle when someone isn’t having a great day.
When the school gym closes in summer, Quentin takes the class outside to Parc de Merl… fresh air Pilates hits differently.
What to Expect in This Class
Quentin is very honest: this is not THE Pilates method.
It really is more of an hour of gentle stretching.
But you can expect a clear, reassuring flow:
Quentin’s approach to group sessions is simple: people shouldn’t copy others just because it’s a group. If something doesn’t feel right, you modify, pause, or skip: no drama.
And if you’re new, you won’t be left guessing. He explains exercises clearly so you can follow even if everyone else looks like they’ve been coming forever.
🎤 Meet the Coach
Quentin Bentz
Quentin brings big energy, his own special humour and confidence in spades, all with a genuinely warm “you’re safe here” atmosphere.
If you like your workouts with a side of questionable banter, music, and a coach who treats you like a human being (and not a fitness robot), Quentin is your person.
