💪 Introduction

Why our ALGSO Fitness and Muscle Strengthening in Esch-sur-Alzette Class is Perfect for Cancer Warriors:

Welcome to Your New Friday Tradition

Every Friday evening, the gym hall of the Lycée Marie-Consolatrice in Esch-sur-Alzette transforms into a vibrant, energetic hub of movement, laughter and strength. Led by the ever-smiling and endlessly imaginative Cloé Lotteri, this class is so much more than just fitness: it’s a supportive, dynamic and feel-good space to (re)discover what your body can do, no matter your age, condition, or experience.

What makes this class special?

This Friday night class isn’t just about movement, it’s about connection. Over time, this group has become incredibly close-knit. Whether you’re a regular or a newcomer, you’re welcomed like family.
There’s genuine warmth, support, and plenty of laughs.

Each class is packed with variety and creativity. Cloé never repeats a session. One week you might be balancing on giant gym balls, the next you’re scoring a goal in adapted handball, or using basketball hoops to work on shoulder mobility. The gym hall is a treasure trove of equipment: from ribbons and cones to every type of ball you can imagine. It’s a true playground for grown-ups.

And yes, expect to be surprised. You might come in thinking, “I’m not sure I can do that,” and leave thinking, “Wow, I just did that!”

What to Expect in This Esch-sur-Alzette Class

Class Structure

Expect the unexpected!
Each session is a friendly, ever-changing multi-sport experience, but most importantly: completely different from the last.
Cloé draws inspiration from her years as a volleyball player and educator to deliver a uniquely varied class using elements from basketball, badminton, volleyball, gymnastics and more – all adapted and accessible.

The class follows a simple structure:

15 minutes of warm-up (sometimes with a twist!)

30 minutes of multisport and strengthening work

15 minutes of stretching and cool-down

The class works on strength, balance, coordination, mobility and self-confidence, all adapted to each person’s capacities.
And yes, there’s music! Expect uplifting playlists featuring Latino beats and the occasional 80s throwback to keep the vibes high.

More Than a Class: A Real Community

What sets this class apart is the warmth and closeness of the group. Ages range from 30 to 80+, and the mix of personalities and experiences only adds to the magic.

The sense of camaraderie is unmistakable. From throwing balls to each other, balancing on one foot, or simply turning up for a good chat and “the vibes”.

Even participants who can’t move that week come along just to be with the group. That’s the power of community and connection.

This class isn’t just about strengthening muscles, it’s about strengthening bonds. Cloé genuinely cares about the people she coaches, and it shows. She often organises little meals, casual outings or get-togethers outside of class time.

From sharing a bite after a tough session, to laughing over coffee, these moments are just as important as the workouts themselves.

For many participants, these gatherings are a highlight: a chance to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company in a different setting. It helps create a sense of community that lasts well beyond Friday evenings in the gym.

Because at ALGSO, we move together, but we also laugh together, support each other, and celebrate life: one plate (or ping-pong match) at a time.

Everything Is Adapted, Nothing Is Mandatory

Concerned about injuries, fatigue or limitations? Don’t be. Cloé adapts everything with incredible care. Each exercise comes with variations, and her language is inclusive (“For those who can…” is a classic Cloé-ism). From cardio and balance to coordination and muscle strength, everything is built around you.

Cloé checks in with everyone at the start of each class. She listens. She cares. And that’s what ensures that people keep coming back week after week.

Multi-Sport, Maximum Fun: Move Differently, Feel Better

Don’t let the word multi-sport intimidate you.
This isn’t about competition or performance. It’s about variety, fun, and discovering just how much your body can do.

Cloé’s class brings together elements from handball, volleyball, badminton, basketball and more, but always in a playful, accessible way.
You’ll never be asked to play a full match. Instead, you’ll use movements and equipment from different sports to work on specific areas like strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Think of it as fitness disguised as fun.

Each week, the session is different. From balance balls and cones, to ribbon dancing and basketball hoops, you never know what to expect and that’s exactly what keeps it engaging. The goal is to keep things dynamic and joyful, so that everyone, no matter their age, condition or experience, can move safely and confidently.

For Cloé, the most important thing is that no one feels left out or overwhelmed. Exercises are always adapted to different levels, with options to suit your body, your mood, and your energy that day. Whether you’re 30 or 80, whether you’ve done sport your whole life or are just getting started, you’ll find your place here.

Participants rediscover muscles, movements and confidence they thought they’d lost forever. This creative, multi-sport approach not only delivers results, it helps you reconnect with yourself in the most uplifting way.

So if you’re curious, come and try it, you might surprise yourself (and you’ll definitely have a blast doing it).
