Meet the ALGSO Family at Journée Cancer 2026: A Day of Hope, Community & Movement
On 4 February 2026, something truly special is happening at Centre Hospitalier du Nord (CHdN), and we’d absolutely love to see you there!
ALGSO will be hosting an information stand during the Journée Cancer CHdN, running from 10:00 to 15:00.
This is more than just another event. It’s an opportunity to connect with the heart of our community and discover how movement, connection, and compassion can transform your cancer journey.
The Journée Cancer 2026 represents a pivotal moment for cancer awareness across Luxembourg.
As the country’s very first oncology sports association, ALGSO is honoured to play a key role in this important day.
Our dedicated team (including Bea, Arlette, Monika, Francine, Georgette, and Jérôme) will be there in person, ready to share our story, answer your questions, and welcome you with open arms into what we lovingly call the ALGSO Family.
Why Your Presence Matters: Understanding the Power of Community
Cancer doesn’t discriminate, and neither does our mission.
Whether you’re currently undergoing treatment, celebrating remission, or supporting a loved one through their journey, our ALGSO family offers a safe, judgement-free space where everyone’s experience is valued. Our team understands what you’re going through, because many of us have walked that path ourselves.
That’s what makes ALGSO different.
Attending the Journée Cancer CHdN gives you a chance to learn firsthand why movement matters during cancer recovery. Scientific evidence consistently demonstrates that adapted physical activity reduces fatigue, improves strength and mobility, and enhances overall quality of life. But beyond the science, our community members can share something equally powerful: personal stories of resilience, transformation, and hope. More than simple testimonials, these are invitations to imagine what’s possible when you move together with others who truly get it.
This event is an excellent opportunity to explore the diverse range of classes and activities ALGSO offers. From gentle yoga and swimming to group fitness and beyond, there’s genuinely something for everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or experience.
Your journey is unique, and so is your path forward with us.
What to Expect: Connections, Information & Warm Welcomes
When you visit our stand at the Journée Cancer 2026, you can expect genuine warmth and authentic engagement, ALGSO style.
Our team won’t simply hand you brochures and send you on your way. That’s not how we do things…instead, they’ll take time to listen to your story, understand your needs, and show you how ALGSO might become part of your healing journey.
Whether you’re curious about our classes, interested in our community events like Relais pour la Vie, or simply seeking connection with others who understand, we’re here for it all.
Attending the Journée Cancer CHdN, also means learning about the broader cancer awareness initiatives happening throughout Luxembourg. As part of a larger healthcare conversation, ALGSO proudly contributes to changing how society views cancer recovery: not as an ending, but as a beginning.
Together, we’re proving that life after cancer can be vibrant, active, and full of possibility.
In essence, marking your calendar for 4 February isn’t just about attending an event. It’s about taking the first step toward joining a lifelong community.
After all, at ALGSO, we don’t just move together and heal together; we grow together, celebrate together, and support one another through every season of life.
See you on 4 February at CHdN?
We can’t wait to meet you! 💙
