SUMMARY:Victory Against Cancer: Join ALGSO's Solidarity Futsal Tournament at Fousbann!
DESCRIPTION:Lace Up\, Show Up & Kick Cancer to the Curb! ⚽💙\nYou know that feeling when something amazing comes together?\nWhen passion\, community\, and a little friendly competition combine to create pure magic? \nWell\, that’s exactly what’s happening! \nOn Sunday 8 March 2026\, we’re teaming up with the incredible students of Lycée Mathias Adam for a day of football\, fun\, and fierce solidarity at the Fousbann Sports Complex in Differdange. \nWelcome to Victory Against Cancer: a futsal tournament with a whole lot of heart! 🏆 \nNow\, let us tell you why you should be excited about this one. \n  \n  \nWhat’s This All About?\nNow\, first things first: this tournament isn’t just any sporting event.\nAnd here’s the story: the fantastic students of class 1TPCM1 at Lycée Mathias Adam are organising this charity tournament as part of their GEPRO course… and they’ve chosen to support us here\, the ALGSO. How amazing is that?! \nHonestly\, that’s the kind of support that reminds us why community matters so much. \nEvery euro raised goes directly towards our mission: encouraging and supporting physical activity for people going through cancer treatment.\nBecause movement matters.\nCommunity matters.\nAnd showing up for each other? That matters most of all. \n These young athletes understand something crucial: that movement heals\, that sport empowers\, and that coming together for a cause creates real impact. \nHere’s what makes this event special: ALGSO won’t just be cheering from the sidelines.\nWe’re bringing our energy\, our spirit\, and our team to the court. We’re putting together a squad of five to seven players who will represent the ALGSO family and show everyone what resilience looks like.\nMeanwhile\, we’ll also be running a stand where you can meet the community\, learn more about what we do\, and feel the warmth that makes ALGSO\, well… ALGSO!\nThis is community in action: people moving together and healing together\, one goal at a time. \n  \nWhy This Event Matters to Us\n  \nHere’s a wee reminder for the more competitive team-mates amongst us: sport isn’t just about winning matches or scoring points.\nFor us here at ALGSO\, the Tournoi Futsal Differdange-Fousbann represents something deeper:\nIt’s a celebration of what our bodies can do\, a reminder that life after cancer (or during it) doesn’t mean sitting on the sidelines.\nMoreover\, it’s an incredible opportunity to shine a spotlight on our mission and reach people who might not yet know about the transformative power of adapted sports. \nEvents like this break down barriers.\nFutsal is fast\, energetic\, and inclusive. It doesn’t require you to be a professional athlete. It welcomes everyone from all backgrounds and fitness levels.\nThat’s the ALGSO spirit right there. Whether you’re a cancer survivor\, someone currently undergoing treatment\, or simply someone who wants to support an incredible cause\, this tournament is your moment to connect\, celebrate\, and be part of something bigger than yourself. \n  \nThe Essential Details\n\n📅 Date: Sunday\, 8 March 2026\n🕚 Time: 11:00 – 17:30\n📍 Location: Complexe Sportif de Differdange – Fousbann (see map below)\n🏠 Address: 2 Rue John Castegnaro\, L-4639 Oberkorn/Differdange\n💶 Entry Fee: €50 per team (paid in advance)\n⏰ Registration Deadline: 28 February 2026\n\n \n⚽ Team Format\n\n5 players on the pitch (4 outfield + 1 goalkeeper)\n2 substitutes allowed per team\n10-minute matches on a futsal pitch\nEach team represents a participating company or organisation\n\nAnd here’s the beautiful bit: ALGSO will be fielding a team of our own members\, people directly affected by cancer\, to play alongside everyone else. DESCRIPTION:Step Into Spring: Discovering the Journée de Randonnée CMCM\n  \nMark your calendars because something truly special is happening on Sunday\, May 3\, 2026! \nThe inaugural Journée de Randonnée CMCM is coming to the beautiful Baggerweieren in Remerschen\, and frankly\, we couldn’t be more excited. \nYet another walking event?\nWe think not! This promises to be a celebration of community\, movement\, and the incredible power of coming together.\nAs ALGSO’s mission revolves around cancer awareness and the transformative benefits of sports and cancer recovery\, this event perfectly embodies everything we stand for. \nThis first-ever edition represents a milestone collaboration between the CMCM\, the Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Marche Populaire (FLMP)\, and Erliefnis Baggerweier asbl. Together\, they’re creating a day dedicated to health\, movement\, and genuine human connection. With the energizing slogan “Lace up your shoes and forget the stress!” ringing in the air\, they anticipate over 1\,000 participants joining in for what promises to be an unforgettable Sunday.\nWhether you’re a cancer survivor\, in remission\, or simply someone who believes in the healing power of movement\, this event welcomes you with open arms. \n  \n  \nThree Routes\, One Heart: Finding Your Perfect Path\n  \nThe beauty of the Journée de Randonnée CMCM lies in its inclusivity.\nConsequently\, they’ve designed three distinct routes to accommodate everyone\, regardless of fitness level or experience.\n \nWhat does this mean for our ALGSO family?\nThis approach ensures that cancer survivors at various stages of their recovery journey can participate meaningfully and safely. After all\, part of what makes ALGSO special is our commitment to meeting people exactly where they are. \n\nThe 5 km route features a dedicated children’s circuit complete with fun animations\, making it perfect for families who want to introduce their little ones to active\, joyful movement. \nNext\, the 8 km trail offers a moderate challenge for those seeking a steady\, rewarding walk through Luxembourg’s stunning natural landscape. \nFinally\, the semi-marathon option caters to our more ambitious participants\, those pushing their physical boundaries and proving daily that they’re stronger than they ever imagined. \n\nMoreover\, each route winds through the picturesque Baggerweieren\, offering breathtaking views and that essential connection to nature that fuels both body and soul. \n  \n  \nBeyond the Trail: The ALGSO Experience\n  \nHere’s what sets this event apart from your typical charity walk: it’s genuinely about building community.\nThroughout the event\, we’re promised multiple opportunities for connection and engagement.\nYou’ll discover information stands (including ours!) positioned both along the routes and at the finish village\, where you can chat with ALGSO coaches and fellow members who understand cancer’s unique challenges. Furthermore\, participants will receive exciting gadgets and small gifts: little tokens of appreciation that remind us we’re all part of something bigger. \nFor families with children\, the children’s 5 km circuit includes creative workshops\, games\, and interactive animations designed to make movement fun and accessible for younger participants. \nALGSO members and supporters will have ample opportunities to showcase what sports and cancer recovery truly means in Luxembourg. This gathering represents far more than physical activity; it’s a celebration of resilience\, hope\, and the life-changing impact of finding your ALGSO family. Because ultimately\, the real magic happens when survivors discover they’re not alone and that everyone around them understands the journey and genuinely cares. \n  \n  \nGetting Involved: How to Make a Difference\n  \nAre you interested in supporting this groundbreaking CMCM event?
